New York-based creative, Vashtie Kola, teams up again with PUMA for Autumn-Winter ’15. An evolution of the first season, the second collection that features footwear and apparel is inspired by the NYC vibe and a cross with street culture and soccer.
The collection’s references and design were taken from Vashtie’s love of the 90’s, Riottt Grrrl culture and the general girl power movement that was headed by various women from that era; from The Spice Girls to Madonna to Gwen Stefani to Lil Kim.
“When PUMA reached out I was immediately interested in this collaboration as I grew up following the brand. As a child I was drawn toward skate boarding and alternative music and looked to PUMA for fashion trends. I’m excited to create this collection that pays homage to my childhood and New York’s underground scene. ” – Vashtie Kola
The PUMA x Vashtie AW15 collection is currently available for sale in premium global retailers.
